WThis is a home-style version of a cocktail featured on our latest cocktail list. This is a party-sized pre-mixed which is loaded full of essence of a Christmas time, making it excellent for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining cordial for brunch beverages, sweets, or to make another batch of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Serves 10 servings
For the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (makes 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Cordial: Place all the ingredients in a pan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing so the sugar melts. Next, turn off the burner allowing it to cool down entirely. Transfer to a sealable bottle, cap it keeping it chilled, it will last for about a month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Pour every spirits and syrup in a big jug, let it rest for one hour, then pass it through best through a fine cloth, making it fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml from the batch mix into a mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring gently for a minute to chill. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, top with the cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of the essential oil over the drink.
